Joey Chestnut eats 100 Pierogis in Eating Contest at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders Game - The Bets were In, Too
By Fionn mac Cumhaill
Legendary competitive eater Joey Chestnut ate 100 pierogies in 4 minutes and 26 seconds setting a new PNC Field record.
The odds were 10-1 on Kalishi that he’d eat 100 pierogies. They were 3-5 that he would start choking on one. They went up to 15-2 that he’d survive by heimlich from behind. 70-1 he’d survive by the heimlich from the front, 100-1, well, yeah.
Thankfully he is good at what he does.
Chestnut will appear next in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on August 16th to face off against a local champion, Ralph, the Tyrannosaurus Rex grown in an incubator in Marin County.
His next major championship appearance will be on September 6th to compete in the United States Chicken Wing eating championship. Ok. That’s only a little bit boring. What we want to see is a Surströmming eating contest in Sweden, against locals there. Can after can of that vile sheit. And then there was one left standing.
