The Celebrated Jumping Frog-Eyed “Privateer” Debt Collectors of Cuyahoga County

Cuyahoga County officials announce plans to sell $40 million in unpaid property taxes to a sleazy “private” debt collector, a vicious blood-sucking gold-thirsty pirate intent on preying on, most likely, the elderly of Cuyahoga County who struggle to pay their tax bill on a social security income. It’s hard enough to afford food, let alone the soaring British property tax rates as vultures circle above looking to pick off what’s left of the meat on the bone that was once your home.
What happens after the land is sold? These new owners of the land, the “private debt collectors”, we can assume sell the land to shifty-eyed developers to level and build some offensive sub-division, stale commercial warehouse, a grim strip mall or crime-riddled housing project or tenement complex. City officials high-five each other and call it progress.
It is the same story everywhere you go, just a different location, different accents. The same is happening 484 miles south in Johnson City, Tennessee (Knob Creek Road, Roan Street, Princeton and Oakland, Carrol Creek Road, Boones Creek Highway, etc.), or 487 miles due east in Croton-on-Hudson, New York (North Riverside Avenue, South Riverside Avenue, Croton Point Avenue) and in nearby towns (the Enclave at Armonk; the Enclave at Sprain Brook etc.). Strip the land and build a phallic-looking structure, and another next to it, and another, and another. It is a bawdy cycle, and no place is off limits.
So obviously, this isn’t just an Ohio, Cuyahoga County problem it is everywhere.
Thankfully, two representatives in government are fighting to prohibit counties from selling our grandparents’ land to psychopathic, avaricious “privateer” Torrey thieves.
Greed is the most powerful driver of human nature. Not sex, not love, not family, not preservation of our depleting natural world, not hope, not dreams, not patriotism, not goodwill to others (haha!), not even freedom… just, unadulterated greed.
My generation, are we the most vile that has ever breathed the polluted air on this planet? Our legacy includes artificial television-watching (streaming), blacked out sports, artificial intelligence, artificial flavorings, artificial (virtual) reality, artificial plagues (Covid), artificial meat (impossible hamburger), etc. And you wonder why aliens bypass this planet.
In 20 years, will there be a tax on your body, essentially paying rent to house your soul? If you fail to pay, your soul will be sold to “private” debt collectors who will in turn have you lobotomized, on your dime, and your organs harvested for a small fortune. What percentage goes to the Cuyahoga County officials?
